A visionary contemporary artist whose creations are a captivating fusion of his surroundings. Drawing inspiration from his immediate environment, Ronald Kegomoditswe, a prolific artist, weaves social, cultural, and traditional narratives into his art.

RonDeArtist is a master of diverse mediums, from canvas marvels to small and large-scale mural masterpieces. His preferred styles encompass abstract and semi-abstract forms, employing vibrant brushstrokes reminiscent of the mesmerizing digital artworks crafted by Leonid Afremov and Ovabs.

Discovering profound connections within his work, RonDeArtist’s figures bear a striking resemblance to those he identifies with deeply. As for his artistic process, it’s an inventive blend of postmodern trends and contemporary discussions. Informed by the theoretical frameworks championed by Arthur Danto, RonDeArtist’s approach embraces intentionality as the starting point. This foundation is built upon his life experiences, notably his journey of self-discovery and identity.
Selebi Phikwe born and raised, Ronald has no post-secondary training in the visual arts, however he has been a passionate practicing artist for the past 6 years having participated in numerous group exhibitions including the recent (2021)Francistown Art Meeting Exhibition, Thapong Artist of the Year Award exhibition (2020) and a solo exhibition in 2016, themed ‘The Genesis’. Lolo has won several awards during his school days as well as a practicing artist. This includes President Day Regional Awards, where he scooped 1st and 2nd positions in painting in 2015 and 2016 respectively. He has also been involved in a philanthropist campaign exhibition aimed at raising funds for one Molaodi’s kidney treatment, an event he shared a stage with one of Botswana’s celebrated artist, Wilson Ngoni.He had a solo exhibition at Thapong Visual Arts Centre in 2021 May called “MOTLHALA” a Setswana word meaning ‘trail’.He also had another solo exhibition at the end of 2021 called ‘BLANKET”. Ronald’s works have been sold to government and private collectors locally and abroad including UK, USA, South Africa and Lesotho.
